Broken door hinge?

This i acutally about my truck, but since you are the smartest guys I know, here goes...

A few weeks ago the wind grabbed my wifes door opening it really hard and we heard a loud crack. Ever since then theres really bad wind noise on the highway. We took it back to the dealer who couldn't find anything wronng with it, until we told him about the wind incident. He said based on that, it should go to the body shop.

Can you really "break" a door hinge like that? Anyone else have this happen?

Any idea what it would coust to replace the hinges and readjust the door?

My boss's '05 Chevy had this happen and it actually folded the door backwards. It creased the door on the leading edge and screwed up the hinges too. Had to have the door fixed by the dealer, and I'm pretty sure they replaced the hinges. It had stretched them to the point that the door didn't close correctly.

What kind of truck. Chevy trucks hinges are not bolted on, or used to be.
