Alright well im picking up pokageeks block great guy i might add... and some 24lb injectors... Now what maf will work with my set up for cheap.. can i use a C&L fox maf or Lightning maf to go along with these 24 lbers... i also want to see if anyone will know for sure if i will have piston valve clearence with my street heat trickflow heads. keith said the info he got was that 2.02 valves inline with a 5.310 lift cam is the highest they would go... the cam in there is a .510 lift and my intake valves are either a 2.02 or 1.94... since there was previously twisted wedges on this block i assume that my street heats will fit because the street heats basically turned in to the twisted wedges. I talked to a guy from the Downs ford team and he said i should be ok... ALso how exactly do you check for clearence??? keith said to use clay but how exactly does that work?? Does anyone have anyother ideas of things i can get done while i have this engine out??? clean up the bay or something. Also if these heads dont fit is the gt40 y303 alumnium head a decent head??? if not ill be just using a set of junkyard GT40's my friend said he can get me a set from the yard he works at for $80.. Also does anyone think i should get an FPR so i can tune it with fuel and timing so i can get it running decent untill i get this setup tuned???

As of right now
ill be putting in a new trans 30k t-5
new block and heads 306/ TFS/kpi street heat heads
1.6 comp magnium rockers
maf and 24lb injectors
gt40 manifold
Pulleys
new headers
new fuel pump
new shocks and struts
possibly C&C plates..
maybe clutch...

you will need an adjustable fuel reg with 24's and no tuning device.

as for maf, c/l always run lean. lightning you will need a tuning device.

better off being safe and checking p/v clearance. there are plenty of writeups around if you do a quick internet search.

Why will i need a tuning device with a lightning maf i thought all i would need is pigtail connectors since they are already set up for 24lbers...

also is the FPR different for 86-93 and 94-95 or are they the same thing???

FP regulators are different , Lightning MAF will not just work with 24s without changing the injector slopes in the PCM

The LMAF is set up for 42# injectors. Your car will not run for crap with an LMAF and 24#ers. I would either get the LMAF and a tune(or tuning device). Or look into a 94-95 24# calibrated MAF(you SHOULD get a tune either way).

ive got a c&l mass air in my 94 gt and the car runs fine. i bought a 76mm off ebay for a fox body and ordered the correct sample tube for 24lb injectors and put the electronic part of the mass air in the meter. i dont know how lean it runs or any of that but i can definatly tell its there. i didnt get a tune. however ive got the stock bottom end and the stock e7s
