I have the crank, pistons and rods, but what else do I need to build a 306 shortblock. need exact details and recommended brands. engine will go to a street driven stang with occasional drag. thanks. oh, I have edelbrock 6037 heads with 202/160 valves ported and polished to the fullest. will be using an rpm manifold with hooker longtubes and race bullet mufflers

Your going to need main and cam bearings and a bunch of other gaskets and little stuff. Open up the summit catalog or Jegs and go to town

And make sure you use all ARP bolts for the:MAINS,RODS,HEADS,INTAKE,FLYWHEEL AND CLUTCH PLATE..Oil pump:meling(stock or hi-pressure) ARP oil pump shaft, and while your at it put a windage tray in the bottom end of that shortblock.

Well I see that you have the main parts...I know summitt sells a complete rebuild kit...you could find it and look at all the products in the kit and get an idea...it sells total for a little over $400 I believe...

Good Luck
