Building a better front torque box

After reading mustbereels torsional rigidity thread:

I came up with an idea which would hopefully help this mod add some more torsional rigidity.
Instead of having the front panel come up only as high as the firewall, why not extend it up to the fender rail?

You could do it by extending out the lower panel at an angle from the outer to inner rail. Then you'd have a triangle formed from the firewall, inner rail and torque box panel all the way up to the fender rail.

Does this seem like a good idea? I can't see any reason why it wouldn't be better than the usual method, and it looks like there's a bunch of space back there, but maybe there's something I'm missing here.

Not on the inside of the inner rails where the engine is. On the outside where the wheels are.
You`d extend them vertically towards the top of the fenders and angle them so that they`d have some space between them and the firewall.

I'd thought that there would be, given how sn65 makes there upper body tie in:
Chassis
I figured by triangulating that section top to bottom it would make a more unitized version of that, though it wouldn't reach to the shock towers like that, but instead maybe half the distance so as to miss the tires.
