this week i begin the buildup of my carbed 347, and im going to need some help with the carb conversion as well as suggestions on the motor. as of now i have a complete motor from an 85 gt with about 60k on it which i will use probably just the block, and at my girlfriends dads shop he has a 347 crank(unknown brand, will find out soon) 331 connecting rods and pistons (i believe crower but could be wrong), edelbrock performer complete heads, and various manifolds and carbs to choose from. will the 347 crank and 331 rods work together? i am also considering the anderson ford motorsports n-61 or n-71 cam or the XFI236hr-14, any thought on these 3 cams? i have read that im going to need a fuel tank from an 84 or newer car, with a holley blue/red fuel pump and regulator, new lines etc. but i might just run a fuel cell and call it a day. i am kind of a lame ass when it comes to reading electrical diagrams and such, so from what i understand i basically need to rip out the whole computer harness and all fuel injection wires and sensors and start from scratch...right? anything that should stay? anyone done this before and could tell me what to do in a step by step manner? any help apprecieated, thanks guys :SNSign:

If you are not up to the electrical part, maybe you should stick with EFI. Removing all the EFI wiring without breaking things isn't a simple job. Removing the compter takes 10 minutes, but that's just the start.

See http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiB..._us/0900823d/80/1d/db/3c/0900823d801ddb3c.jsp and carefully study ALL the information under the Heading Chassis Electrical, Basic Electricity – Understanding & Troubleshooting for some help.

Buy a multimeter or DVM and learn what all the functions are and how to use it correctly.
