Bullitt 5551 is going under construction starting Saturday. It will be coming into my shop to get torn down completely and repainted. Im just going with the factory color "black", to keep it original, but I am doing some other minor changes while im in there. I'll be welding up the holes in the fenders under the emblems, shaving the antenna, and shaving the door lock cylinder in the drivers door. Thats pretty much it, just want to keep it looking as stock as possible. The front of the car is peppered with rock chips and there are a couple door dings, that i just cant stand. Also going to replace some of the interior and exterior trim pieces that are worn. Should look like a new car once its done. Its got 90K on on the clock and has been a daily driver since new, but the tables have turned, it is now my weekend toy.

Havent heard from you in a while. Yeah, Bruce is going to help with the bodywork and Chris is going to paint it. We are actually crazy busy right now, all the guys are slammed with work. lol. We are on track to do $530K this month. How's Precision? I know, the doors are going to be a bitch.

Ahh its doin alright. Alot more laid back. I knew we left at the wrong time. I didn't even want to go, and still think about if it was the right idea. I'm sure I will be back though. I loved that place.

You gettin any new parts for that thing? Are they doing the jams and stuff?

You should have them pull the fenders off and doors and everything. If I were you buy some PPG Concept clear, not that clear we use at the shop.

My bike gas tank is wasted and I only rode it around twice. My coat rubbed it really bad, and its all hazy and scratched up. Looks like I took a scotch brite to it. =/

Tonight i am going to block and prep the quarters, roof, door and trunk jambs. Our plan is to paint the body of the car tomorrow night, then start working on the other panels and trim. The roof and jambs didnt need any primer do to not having any waves or door dings.

Damn dude thats cool. Lookin good. I'm workin on a green 99 GT right now. Its a roach though. The owner wrecked it in the snow the other day and spilled coffee all over in it. Its gettin the whole right side painted. Looks like the paint shop is slammed right now.

Did you do the priming or what?

Yeah, the paint shop is pretty slammed right now, got alot to do for the end of month. I have done all the work on the car myself with guidance from Chris. The only things im not going to do is weld up the fender holes and paint the car. I just wanted to do it myself, as a learning experiance. Hopefully it turns out good. LOL

Looks good - :nice:
I agree - that's one ride I would let a pro squirt the paint on-

I know, I have been hella busy working on the car. Most of it is painted, just have the doors to paint. Been working on it to 10 every night since last Monday. My hands are hells raw from sanding. Lol. Saturday going to start putting it back together. Still waiting on some parts that will be at the shop on Monday though.

Okay, here are some more pics of the progress.

The door actually wasn't to bad. I actually mixed the filler, put it on, and blocked it down.I. Turned out pretty good too, for a first timer. The only thing I did not do myself was weld the fenders and spray the color. Bruce said I should work in the shop instead of the office.
