I know on blown applications the Bullitt intake works quite well and it should provide a little gain on stock N/a. Well I was wondering what your thoughts would be on using the Bullitt intake on a N/A headswapped motor with XE270H cams?? Would this be a better choice over say the P-51? Since I am going to have to spend about another $400 or so for the intake on the PI swap I was wondering if I should just go ahead and wait a couple more weeks and get a Bullitt intake kit. Also which valve covers were not able to fit? The Windsor or Romeo?? Thanks. .

IMO not anymore. I was loking at getting a Fox Lake too since it made RWHP, and TQ all the way through the power band would have cost much less than the entire Bullit swap. Also most people that see big gains w/the Bulit intake have some serious P & P done to it which can easily cost as much as, or more thant the Bullit tintake it's self. You may pick up a few RWHP w/ either, but from what I've seen upgrading the intake is more of a mod out of necessity to uncork the intake hole rather than so much of a RWHP mod. Scheisters Stang just made 600 RWHP onthe a stock 2V PI intake so I'm saying forget any intake swap all together for me.

are you going to stay n/a always ? Just depends on if you're trying to squeeze every little RWHP out of your engine, and how much $$ it's worth to you. Intkake swap esp the Bullit done right are kinda pricey. But if ya really want to the Fox lake would make tons more sense to me $$ wise to me.

Yeah, I'm staying N/A and I'm shooting for at least 300-350 RWHP. The heads will have a pretty heavy port job done. I plan on using a pretty large shot of nitrous once I get my bottom end sorted out so an aluminum intake appeals to me. That's one of the main things I'm looking out for and I would like to get the best bang for my buck if I'm to be going "all metal". I do like the fact that I don't have to get a million extras just to get the Fox Lake to fit. . . Bullitt- 0 Fox Lake- 1

IMO I think it is worth it if you are going with nitros one for durability 2 I think apperance wise looks bad a$$.Also if you are porting your heads it deffinently

the main problem with the P-51 is that it has not yet been proven in the real world. all we have to go by is Fox Lake's dyno.

The PI intake would be a worthwhile upgrade. I am getting it done right now. The P51 won't be out for a few more months or I would have it on mine. I was going to get a bullitt intake but the gains aren't worth the money to me right now. You can pick up the whole bullitt kit for around $1000 if you shop around. Also, if you go with a P51 you will not be able to use the stock hood if you have the stock hood still and also you will have to do some mods to put the P51 on. When I called Fox Lake last week they have yet to fit one to a 96. Currently they are for 99 and up PI motors. He said it could be done but you would have to do some modifications to attach the intake. I decided to buy the PI intake and wait until winter when everybody has their new intakes and mods out so I can then decide and also see what produces well and what mods are worthless or overpriced. You can always sell your PI intake later and make some of your money back and you won't have as much invested to lose as in a Bullitt intake set-up. Good luck.
