The plastic intake is not "cheap" especially the updated model without the thermostat housing cracking issue.

Bullitt intake swap is not worth the money IMHO.

Oh I totally understand, and if you go supercharged in the future, youll show even larger gains.

For the price difference of the P-51 kit, and to get more power out of it than the Bullitt intake swap, the Bullitt swap doesn't make any sence to me and isn't even an option for me. Yeah the Bullitt intake looks good, and some people don't like the way the P-51 intake looks (I'm not one of them), but so what. Besides the fact that the P-51 kit costs less and makes more power N/A, the real gains you'll see from the P-51 once you slap are Centrifigual on it.

Again I'm not trying to rip on anyone here, just trying to say what's more logical to me.

i have yet to see anyone lose power with the Bullit intake. the same can't be said for the P51. i would love to see the P51 put up consistent gains, but it's just not happening.

I never said you'd lose power with a Bullitt intake all I'm saying for the money the P-51 intake kit makes more sence to me.

And if you think that the P-51 intake makes no power, you need to go do a little research pal.

$3600.00 Holy sheep! That's not cheap, let alone very cheap, and definately nowhere near very, very cheap. That's blower coin.
Congrats on the new intake, and good numbers all around, but that's a lot for what you got.
For $3800.00, you could have purchased the Kenne Bell 1.7 6# kit, which includes blower, intake, injectors, boost a pump, chip, etc - every little thing you need - plus, it's definately a do-it yourself install. (No additional big chunk of change to have someone else put all this hardware together for you. A dyno tune is a good idea though.)

Nice kits. Although, I didn't know there was inconsistancy with the P-51's. How inconsistant are we talking about, here?

From what I understood the parts for $1800 is cheap. :/

The other $1800 was spent on the Extrudehone ($700), the Accufab ($300), the SCT Chip ($325), and the dyno tune

That's way too much to spend for 13 rwhp. I doubt your parents just went out and bought you a Bullitt intake on their own. You should have found a used blower for that price.

They did actually. I had been talking about it and so they talked to my friend and asked him if it would fit my car. He said yes, and they got one and gave it to me for Christmas.

And yes, I too have read reports of -hp numbers from the p51. Amazing with induction, but a waist for NA.

Mine is coated and extrude honed. I also had return style rails made to fit with my nitrous setup. I don't think either of the intakes are worth the money for na applications but I wanted the most out of my setup so I was willing to spend the money. Plus it looks good

Where have you seen this at. I've read nothing but gains from the P-51 in N/A form. Even if it is only the same gains as the Bullitt swap (Slapyo also had his extrude honed mind you), it's still cheaper.

Of course you going to see more out of it with a power adder, but you will with a Bullitt or Reichard Racing intake as well. Like I said twice before, I'm not bashing the guy, just curious as to why he spent so much for so little.

Actually the Bullitt intake, Reichard Racing intake, and P51 intake are all pretty expensive for the gains you get normally aspirated. But, they are great mods with a power adder.

GT JAY, I totally understand what you are saying. I did lots of research before hand in regards to the gains N/A and with forced induction. I do plan on going forced later on.

We'll see what those gains are when the time comes.
