I was going to check my timing and bump it to 14* but i do not see a plunger on the front of my dist, am i just looking in the wrong place?

also another question, would i be better off to buy a gt40p set of heads and intake, or just get a late 90's explorer motor with low miles since my engine has 187k on it?

i thought your guys' SPOUT connector was under the air inlet tube/MAF?
It is...

Just undo the spout connector that over by the maf.

Second Question: It depends... Depending on how mechanically inclined you are you could aways just get a rebuild kit and freshen up your motor. (rings, bearings, etc.) If your worried about it.

But if your gonna be basically putting on the same parts anyway it is a matter of which one is worth messing with to you...
