Well, while laying the smack down on Curt on highway 99 on Sunday we were talking about putting together a cruise. We have noticed that BM fills up fast, so I am thinking that if you want parking show up early. It almost seems that 7 PM is too late. So, for the cruise, if we need to do something about spill over, we could possibly put the stangs in the Golds Gym parking lot. Maybe, a good plan would be to find a spot at BM (if you can), eat, then pull over to the golds gym parking lot. They are usually closed so I don't think we will get any flac for it. Let me know what you think. As far as a cruise, 405 should be open once again, and another bridge run could be a blast. Lemme know what everyone thinks.

Itinerary:

7PM - Meeting @
Burgermaster
18626 Bothell-Everett Hwy
Bothell, WA 98012 - 6827
http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp... Restaurants

8 - 8:30ish - Cruise
Long Cruise. Prepare to fuel up and I will print routes upon arrival.

Unknown time - Destination @
Alki Beach for B.S.

For those ol' schoolers that are still around we know that Burgermaster has had it's up's and down's. But all in all we have had a good time and enjoy shootin' the poop and bench racing.

Burgermaster:
So, again for the ol' schoolers, we are acustom to the rules. So, here is a re-itteration.

1: Please purchase something, with a minimum of 2 dollars. When you order, please stick around the front long enough so that the waitress can find you. It got pretty frustrating for them to hunt people down because we have had as many as 100 people show up for these fun events.

2: If you are planning to get out of your car, park along the "outside" of the lot so that we don't interupt paying customers that park up front.

3: Lets keep the tom foolery down to a minimum while we are guests on the premisis'. They have always been cool with us being there as long as we are cool while chilling there.

4: Get to know everyone! Not only will fellow stangnetters be there. The great and all powerful GN guys will be there too. Also there will be classics and hot rods that want to look around too.

So, lets do this and have some fun.

Lets organize. :nice:

Corey,

I'm in!!!!!!!!

As far as a meeting spot, do you know where the Windy's up by the Costco in Silver Lake is, I've heard latley that they are wanting cars to show up there, A bunch of us go to the Taco Time in Lnywood on Hyw.99 up by Compact Car Corner every Friday after work, and have heard that the Wendy's people want us to hang over there, Just a thought, but it has a huge parking lot and there is no limit on how much you have to spend, and as far as I know they don't have any Cops hanging out there!
Anyway, just something to consider, What does everybody think?

See Ya Bill

I'm new in town, just moved down from AK. Wouldn't mind meeting some of the people from the board, but the link for the map doesn't work (at least for me it didn't, sometimes I'm computer challanged). Is there more than one BurgerMaster? If not, I saw one the other day when driving around, is there one off of route 99?

I just looked up the address and realized there are more than one BM, and it is no where near the one I saw.

Go to mapquest and put in the address I put in the initial thread, sorry, I am at work and briefly checking the forums so I don't have time to repost the link.

wannabegt-are you the guy with the drop top vert '99 green cobra. I think i met you at one of the burgermaster meets where we had a cruise to krispy creme in issaquah??? im the guy with the '99 kenny brown white cobra...im mainly on svtperforance.....Anyway i think the burgernaster meet is a great idea, BUT i have a better idea for a cruise...but its totally up to you as this meet is your idea to begin with.
Heres my idea for a cruise...we go south on I-405 till we hit I-90 and instead of going west to seattle we go east towards issaquah. we then continue to snoqualmie falls and bs for a while at snoqualmie falls...(theres a lot of parking up there) but before it gets dark (we will be in woods and its funner with light...if you know what i mean) we head back west but not on I90..instead we go through 20 minuetes of pure TWISTIES with all our mutangs/cobras through these woods...i did this last week with two other cobra guys. trust me, these are the best roads around for twisties. We will then then end up right back in issaquah when we run out of road. So what do you think? If you like the idea ill post on svtperformance and get people to show. -let me know, ive never had more fun driving my car on the road then besides these roads ive mentioned.

Hey man,
That is a great idea. Only difficulty I see is that we don't leave till late and the park closes at dusk, so by the time we get there it will be closed. To do that, we should really plan a day trip for everyone. I have been thinking about putting together Saturday or Sunday cruises up and down Washington. Stay tuned for those. :nice: If we really wanted to do twisties out of Burgermaster, we should take highbridge road out through ames lake road. That drops down to fall city road and then we have the choice continue the back roads jaunt on into Issaquah, or head down into redmond, hop 520 to 405, then 405 to I90, then I90 through the tunnels. The reason I like I90 West at night is because the tunnels are fun and also, that stretch RARELY has our friends waiting for us.

Let me know what you think.

P.S., I am sur_real1 on the svtperformance boards, and good to see you here.

You know, as another alternative, I noticed that Green Lake's parking area is open until 11pm, and the park itself is supposedly 24hrs. This might be an option if we rolled a bit earlier... say 9pm instead of 10. And even if we rolled later, there's tons of street parking available, several restaurants and bars. Oh, and there's one place down there that has a killer 10-11pm happy hour on food and drinks...

Oh, and I forgot to mention that there is I-5 southbound exit (for 65th street) that basically dumps you right to Green Lake.

If this helps at all...Last week we had a small mustang show up/meet but mostly subarus ad we all got to xxx in issaquah around 5:30 and didnt leave for the park untill i think 7:30 -8:00 , then we bs'd there untill about 8:30-9:00, so my idea is we move the burgermaster meet to 5:00-5:30 and we should have plenty of time to do all those things i already mentioned...OR if we do run short on time we just keep cruisin through the falls area without stopping untill we get back to issaquah @ krispy kreme. that way we'll for sure have plenty of light for the twisties...But if we move the meet to 5:30ish we will definately have time to do everything ive mentioned.

I'm not to familiar with highbridge road by ames lake...never been. But i know well have fun with my idea....Or we could do my original idea and instead of stopping at krispy kreme we could continue down i-90 through the tunnels and go wherever.. then we be doing both but that would be a lot of gas and miles to put on the cobra in one night:shrug: ...-let me know what you think...and i'm torquemonster on svtp.

I do think that is a great idea. I just don't think a lot of people are going to be up for such a long cruise on such a short notice. That is something maybe we plan with a little more time on our hands. Greenlake sounds a little more realistic for a short cruise.

DarkBuddha, if you want to come up with a route, that would be great. If not, then a short jaunt accross the water might be our best bet. Unless, I am wrong and people are totally up for a longer cruise.

Let's do it.

Burgermaster or Wherever Cruize?

Hey Guy's,

I'm up for any cruize, be it long and or medium, no short cruizes for me, if at all possible!
Corey post it up and lets see who wants join in the fun! It is still only Wendsday so we still have time, the more the merrier!!!
What ya think?

See Ya Bill

I'll admit that a shorter, earlier cruise would suit me better as I've gotta catch an early ferry to Bremerton to an auto-x on Sunday morning.

Well, both routes I came up with wouldn't exactly be fun... the first would only take us about 25 minutes max to roll I-405 to I-5 to Green Lake. It's all highway and there's always a lot of fuzz.

The other option is to roll 522 to Lake City Way to Roosevelt, which is all in Town traffic and would probably take 35-40 minutes.

I guess it just depends on what folks prefer...

Ya i say long cruise if possible. I think twisities idea would be good and it really wouldnt be too long as long as we dont bs too much at snoqualmie falls or like i said leave the bs'ing till we get back to issaquah...anyway yall know what i think so ill shut up now.

So, I am seeing longer cruise. That is awesome. Then lets do it. I am thinking, highbridge road, through snoqualmie valley, up over ames lake road, down to fall city road, up to snoqualmie falls, back down I90, ending in either Bellevue, or take it all the way to alki.

Keep in mind, this is a long cruise. I will try to map it out better with mileages.

Peace

If this turn's out to be a long cruise (long cruise is good with me), what time is it going to kick off, and is the starting point still going to be the Burgermaster joint?

Sounds good, i wonder if the road your talking about is the same one i was talking about...either way it should be fun! Ill post on svtperformance.com to get more to show up at burgermaster if it hasnt been posted already.
