I've noticed a new burning smell that's coming from under the car. I can only smell it when the car is up to temperature and when it is stopped. I was thinking that maybe my gears aren't fully engaging but I set the shifter stops according to the instructions. (leave "air gap" between the stop and the handle) Should I be worried? It only has 1780 miles.

if you smell it inside your car... is it possible that something spilled/dropped on your tranny during the install and is burning due to tranny temps? did you drop the old gasket or anything down there when installing?

Yea if you got some kind of grease or liquid or anything on your exhaust (your mid-pipe runs right there under your tranny) then it's probably just that burning off. I noticed a funny smell for a whole minute after I installed mine, but it was just all the grease that had gotten all over the place. :bang:
