Buying a intercooler. Does it matter if its for a turbo or supercharger?

:D
No. In a street car, you need to go air-air. Air-water is a no go unless it's one of those old air-water-air, which is still dumb to me.

And whats the reasoning that you can't run Vortechs Power cooler Air 2 water? I'm going to call them tomorrow and see if its street worthy or not. But whats your reasoning to say its "no go"?

The problem is that a "one size fits all" kit has to be able to fit every car....you'll get a cleaner install with a custom pipe routing, but that' might cost a little more.

So far i've only found 2 kits. Powered by BTI 87-93 intercooler air 2 air kit and Vortech's 87-93 Power Cooler Air 2 Water. Both are clean installs. Here is a picture of both... The Vortech kit is small, clean, simplie, and nice. BTI's on the other hand is big, long, hard work, and alot of hacking up....

But BOTH kits will allow me 2 run my Anderson Ford Motorsports Power Pipe as well. I just like the vortechs.. so easy lol.

^^^ LOOK at the f-ing monster. As sweet as that looks i don't think my Saleen lower valance would fit over that!

I dunno man, i think you might have to trim some of the back of the valance but i bet you it would fit.....and DAMN would it look SIIIIIICK! Also that probably could've been hidden a little better than that.

Thats what i thought...but that was the car the actual company installed though so? I'm not sure you could. Idk the way my saleen lower valance fits on there it would have to be all cut of :notnice:

thats how i did mine. But there is more than one way to skin a cat!

ooooooo i like. Can you give me more information? Did you buy the kit? or make it yourself? Also looks like you change the direction of the tube that runs into the blower. Normally it faces the intake but yours is facing the passenger side fender...hm i need more info. I like it though. What boost loss did you see?

I just called Vortech and asked them about their "power coolers" and they said that they are very adequate on the street. All you do is check the cooler once a week. Its like a radiator. I think i'm gonna go that route. Plus i found a guy that put down 589 rwhp on the stock block with s-trim and intercooler. I like those #'s lol.

Can someone link me to a place that sells the BTI Kit? I kinda wanna see more of this.

Sure why not. I like the idea and it looks really clean... but i couldn't cut up my front bumper and saleen valance.

Here is more pictures of the fox setup. If you want to see other stuff just go back to their home page...
