its no wonder ford/gm are going down the tubes everbody is buying a honda, toyota, KIA whatever!Foreign products can suck the blood out of any nations economy if there is no balance of trade its all bs! why jump on the bandwagon like all the wannabees closet v-tech lovers im seeing here! why dont you check out some FORD PRODUCTS? Uh youre kidding right, the camry, accord, and Mazda 6 are ALL made in the USA, while the Fusion is made in Mexico. The line between Domestic and Foreign is virtually gone. Honda is opening another plant in Indiana, while there is already a Subaru, Isuzu, and Toyota plant already here. The Nissan, Toyota, and Honda pickups are all made in the USA. BMW, Hyundai, Nissan, Toyota, Honda, etc are all comming into the USA market and making jobs for the workers that GM, Ford, DX, Delphi, etc fired.

But you really cant be serious with you saying you dont care about resale value, that has got to be the dumbest thing I have ever read on here. Most people do not keep any car longer than 5 years so if one car is worth 5K more after those 5 years versus another car that originally cost the same you would be an idiot to not care.

I cannot keep my cars forever because I drive 40K miles a year, but that being said both my cars where paid with cash so debt is not an issue.

As for the money issues, they are all publically traded companies so the money goes to wherever the stock holders live, be that Japan, USA, Canada, Mexico, etc.

But sure alot of the higher ups that get hefty salaries do live in Japan or elsewhere but the fact remains that foreign companies are comming here and giving our blue collar people jobs while Ford, GM, and DX are leaving and shrinking its workforce by what 50%.

So really who are the ones that are helping and who are the ones that are hurting? If you want to buy American I understand that, and that why I bought my Mazda 6. Doesnt get anymore American than made in Michigan.
