Hey guys I'm going to be purchasing my Victor Jr's soon and I want to know what will be involved. They are coming fully assembled and I will be putting in 3.89 gears in the car with them. Will the stock pushrod length work, because my stock pushrods are in great shape? I have been looking at the FRPP 1.7 rockers thats what I would like to get for the car. Will those come in 7/16 stud and can you guys give me some links to those? What will it cost me to have some notching done cause I know I will need it? Or if you guys know where I can get a tool to notch the pistons while they are still in the block that would be even better. I have never taken pistons out so I don't want to dig myself a deeper hole if I don't have to. Taking out the engine is not an option as I don't have the tools or the money to do so. Thanks a lot guys I know its a lot of questions, but if youll bear with me.

There is now a tool that can cut reliefs with the pistons still in the car, but I haven't heard any feedback yet. Most people opt to remove the pistons or replace them.

You are putting on an induction system that is good to about 7000 rpm. Are you sure you want to run old cast pistons and stock rod bolts through all this performance stuff you are bolting on? Do you really need Victor Jr's to achieve your goals? Bolting on high rpm speed parts to an aging short block is poorly thought out and a recipe for a spectacular failure. While your budget may not allow for a complete, well thought out rebuild, I would recomend waiting until you can afford to do it right instead of piecemeal.

In regards to your push rods, I believe the Victor heads use adjustable rockers with guide plates. You need good aftermarket high strength push rods that are engineered for guide plates. You factory ones are not. Do not re-use them.

The engine was rebuilt by the Previous owner 20,000 miles ago. It isn't the original pistons and stuff. Would I be okay if that's the case? If not I can understand spending $500 on some new pistions and rod bolts. I just don't want to if its not necessary. Thanks for the feedback, I need tons more till I put it together cause thats my goal, to do it right. Thanks again
