This summer I would like to do more work to my car. I would love to put stage 2 cams in her but I really dont want to pay for the labor and I dont feel comfortable doing it myself. SO I am thinking about taking off my BBK CIA (selling it) and getting the complete c&l setup: Plenum, accufab 75 TB, trueflow pipe, 80mm MAF, k&n filer, and heatshield. Another option I was thinking about was putting gears in. I was thinking about 3.73 as its a daily driver. The intake setup would cost 580 + shipping; The gears would be 189 + shipping + 250 for install + 100 for speedo calibrator (539 + shipping). So Im torn.... The reason Im thinking about the intake is because it seems like my motor is gasping for air, when I floor it really quick from a dead stop it takes a second for it to register.....

What do you guys think?

Gears dude. And I'd go with 4.10s. I've got the accufab TB and plenum, along with the C&L trueflow pipe and (now sitting on a shelf because it's a piece of crap)85mm MAF. The Trueflow pipe is cool and looks good, but don't expect anything from it. Most TB and plenum combos are good for 6-9 RWHP, best kick is above 3K RPMS, and you can feel it, but it's not major. The MAF simply leans the motor out, nothing more, nothing less. That is a way to make power, but not a very sophisicated or reliable method of doing so.
Gears will kick your butt every day, without fail. I'd really, really, really recommend this as your next mod.
Enjoy!
