Will the stock T-body fit on the C&L Intake Plenum??? Im having to much trouble with the 75mm tb and I want to throw the stock one back on and keep the Plenum on. :(

The TB is screwing up my idle and the rpms goo down slow and like to stick at 1500... Also I hate how When the tb closes it sticks a lil but wich messes up the smooth pedal feel of the stock tb..

well on mine the 75 tb was only worth 2hp and I have a 98 with the PI intake, c&l elbow, bbk cold air, 80mm massair, and of course my tb so if you are not happy with the big one I guess you would not be giveing up more than a few ponies to go back to stock, good luck :nice:

The issues your having sound more like calibration issues to me; the TB is not likely to be at fault. Have someone press the gas pedal while you watch the TB; make sure it opens and closes smoothly. Did you make sure it was fully closed (using the set screw) before you installed it? Sorry if I'm being picky, but if you replace the TB and it turns out that it's your TPS, you just wasted time/HP for nothing, and you will still need to calibrate the TPS. I don't suppose you have or know someone with a Predator?

What brand? I bought a MAC 75mm and it did that exact same thing. I took it back off after a week and put on an Accufab 75mm. The Accufab is smooth as butter and idles perfectly. Screw MAC's throttle bodies. I won't even resale it cause it's such crap. (btw, I have a C&L plenum too and I love it)

It's called throttle hang it's caused by the IAC,

There are several posts about how to fix it.

The cheapest and easiest way is to take a1/2" copper pipe cap, drill a 1/4" hole and insert it in the IAC line. This will help drop the rpms down to about a 1000 much quicker.

Throttle hang is a common problem with TB and plenum swaps and can be solved.

It could also be the throttle stop screw on the TB. It's a little screw at the back left that dictates how much/little the butterfly stays open when you get completely off the gas. If the screw is holding the TB open too far then it can cause an excessivly hight idle. Just a thought.

Ahhh sounds like a MAC TB. I know they had issues with the way the butterfly interacted with the TB sides. I would contact MAc and see what they want you to do.

i believe they would suggest find where it is hanging and sand the butter fly so it doesn't.

Makes me happier and happier, that I purchased an Accufab TB, instead of the BBK or Mac stuff.

Are ford racing throttle bodies any good? I was looking into getting a plenum/throttle body combo and think accufab is too pricey. I definately wont go the MAC route because of their reputation for making low quality junk parts. I'll go the accufab route if it's definately the best. I just wanna know if anyone had any good/or bad things to say on Ford racing throttle bodies.

I installed the Dragon plenum/TB (75mm) on my brother's 03GT; it was very nice. We also put on the full-length CAI from Demolet (Tuneable Induction) at the same time; no dyno test, but nice SOTP gain. I'm selling them in the trader's section (my brother wrecked his car) if anyone's interested.
