C4 from a 289, will it fit????

hey guys well today i found out that my friend's girlfriend's dad is giving away one of his c4 trans from his 69 fastback. And he's giving it for free.i just wanted to know if it will fit. i have a 90 lx vert.also i'm wondering what are the performance differences and if i should do the swap.I mean the trans is free, so of course i'm gonna take it. thanx guys

First off, what kind of gears do you have and do you want to lose your overdrive gear? Also, a C4 from a 289 could either be a 5 bolt or a 6 bolt depending on the year. If its a 69 theres a good chance its a 6 bolt so you are good. If its a 5 bolt pattern to the engine then you cant use it.
