C4?

I plan on buying a Lokar cable and kick down bracket for my 1970 302 mustang - current kickdown is missing. From the post I've read I'm guessing the trans is a C4 - is there a way to tell for sure by looking at it? thanks

Tried the search and got about 8 pages on threads with C4 transmission in them - did not see anything that could help. Is there a quick answer to the question? I promise to search before before asking a question again - learned my lesson...

No hard feelings at all!! This site looks like it has a lot of good information for a newbie like myself. Just did not want to get off on the wrong foot with my first question.


For the kickdown cable I'm looking to buy the only qualification was c4 or c6. I was hoping it was as easy as C4 has aluminum front (bell housing) and c6 did not.
