Cabin gettin warm, Tranny tunnel hot. FMX slippage?

Been driving my '70 for a while now, but shifts are taking longer then they used to (and getting worse over time) in order to from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd.

Checked fluid, looks clean. Filled up to the EXACT level in the dip line. Transmission is leaking fluid over time. I thought it might have been because something had dried up since I was away, but after running it for two weeks, it's not getting any better. The temperature of my transmission tunnel from the inside makes me think my clutch packs are slipping. Any ideas?

Exhaust pipes are the likely culprit for warming up the floor pans. Make sure that the exhaust is not obstructed and the pipes have not been run unusually close to the tranny. Heat is the enemy of the transmission. :)
