Installed my new CAI yesterday and now after driving for like 10-15 min my check engine light comes on. I know that this has been discussed before, so i thought it would be a easy, quick answer. Anyway, the temp sensor doesn't screw all the way in, so I'm thinking it's that. It only screws in about 2/3 of the way. Anyone else have this problem with their's? Can I just force it in there with a wrech or should i go through the trouble of retapping the threads on the CAI? If that's the problem, i can't believe that that small distance makes such a difference.

Well its more important to make sure the sensor is facing the right way so it gets hit by the air streem coming in. If it is turned to where the air coming in is hitting the housing around the sensor not the sensor itself it could be giving false readings.

Oh and with my BBK CAI it didnt screw in you just wiggle it back and forth till it sits flush against the tube. Dont knwo which brand you have though.
