Cam and Intake for AFR185's

hey,

May be getting some 185s for $800

What cam and intake would you suggest for max low-mid torque that I could "grow into"

Im thinkin TFS stage 1 and Intake

or maybe a F cam and a Performer

Opinions?

I'd say Edelbrock Performer intake b/c the ports match pretty well out of the box. As far as the cam depends on how much you want to sacrafice now so you can make more power later or vica versa.

cams are cheap, so it shouldn't be a problem

Just a low to mid setup, i don't want 'er too be a dog on the interstate, but im not willing to give up my torque for an unsueable 6600RPM power gain

i have always liked the holley upper and lower intake. from what i've read and seen about it

you could just get a nice port matched intake and then spend the money you saved on the heads to have a custom ground cam made for you. then you can have power where you want it and get nice hp gains.
