Hey all! I havn't been messing with the stang lately since i have been working on my house, but last time i posted i was messing around with the rocker hitting the valve cover. It was still tapping so I took it all appart and found a lifter is either stuck real bad or collapsed (I don't know how to tell the difference) So it's looking like I will be pulling the intake to fix it. While I'm at it I was thinking of changing the cam. I have an X303 now and I have heard nothing good about it at all. anyone have an idea as to what would be better for my set up? or should i just stick with what I've got? can and should I go with solid lifters or keep the hydraulic? I don't have the time for it now but i want to plan ahead for this winters project...

The Hyd Roller set-up should work just fine..

Can you give me the complete details on the combo you are running so I can give you a good answer on the cam.

Yeah you could do a lot better with another cam...Would you be interested in a custom, I could help you out. It will ony run a little more then an off the shelf cam.

other people have suggested that for me how much would i be looking for one? I was considering that but don't really understand the advantages. If i change things at some point will it make the cam useless? I don't plan on changing anything any time soon but I am always tinkering. The only reason I am running the x cam is because it was in there was that it was in there when I bought the motor and i didn't realize the bad reviews

Hey Rick your inbox is full. I really like the idea. The only other concern I'd have is piston to valve clearance. If the cam you get me has more lift I don't know if it will work. I didn't build my long block so I have no idea what my clearances are in there. All i know is the x cam with 1.6 rr works.
