The stage 1 is a very good street cam. It'll work with ported heads. I would suggest an intake swap as funds become avalable to optimize the cam & ported heads.

I have a TFS1, its a great cam and starts to pull at around 2200 all the way to 6. this is on aftermarket heads of course.

You will start to pull at 2200, and stop at around 5000 because of your heads. see how narrow your powerband will be? i dont suggest the TFS1 for stock heads, it will out power them and you will be lost in the mix.

I had good luck with stock cam and 1.7 rockers on my ported stock heads. We did the same thing on a buddys car. Ported stock heads, ported stock lower intake, stock cam and 1.7 rockers. It went 12.20 @ 110. It was a good running combo.
