I had my 95 in the garage the other day and it wouldn't start after I dropped it off. I almost always do the work my self but it was in for a emission test. He called me and said it was the cam position sensor on the distributor. He replaced it there because it had to run for the test. Now it seems to have a bog to it. Is that sensor a bolt on or does it have to be set like a TPS? If so any instructions.

that must be it...he called it that.I had a 91 for 8 years and I just got this 95 convertible, still getting used the small diff. between the years. Any ideas on if it needs adjustment or if its a straight bolt on? My 91 had the same thing but it just plugged in.

Thanks

I am confused. My 91 had the TFI and it was a straight bolt on. This thing he replaced has a wireharness that comes out of the dist. If I take the dist. cap off I can see it goes below the rotor. Just wondering if its the same as the TFI and no adjustment is needed. Sorry I am new to the SN95 but not to 5.0's....just trying to related this stuff to the fox body stuff

That make sense why the spout plug is there....i need to pick up the 94-95 repair manual and find out where all the sensors are on these ones. So what is in the dizzy....the pip as mentioned above, what is it?
