Cam Specs for my 357W Build

I am building a 357W and I just got my Cam here are the specs:

Comp Cams

Gross Valve Lift: Intake-566 Exhaust-576

Duration @ 006 tappet Lift: Intake-281 Exhaust-289

I will be running 10.5 Comp and after talking with the guys at TEA I will be going with the TF/TW heads ported by TEA with the 205cc runners and the 2.02 valves. This thing is going to SCREAM on pumped gas......but just in case I'll have a 150 shot in the trunk... :spot:

Good call with thous heads,same one I'm gonna be using.I talked to Brent @ TEA and he said I wil be over 500rwhp no problem.Im runing a 408 w/ 12:1 compresson and a Hyd. roller of .585/.604 254/261 @ .050 on a 112LSA.Of course,I got a shot too,and a big one at that (maybe hit a300-400hp shot)!

You know what these heads are really good for, dont you?

TURBO'S!

Actually, with the compresson I'm runing now (static) I would have to run alcohol if I wanted to boost :D .

Ya...thats a lot of motor your running with that high comp.... :spot:

I thought about getting a dart block and stroken it to a 427 but the cash was going to get out of hand....so I settled on a 357 with a shot....it's a daily driver and with the Pro-Flo system I can drive it across the USA and race at the same time... with a press of a couple buttons on the fly I can reprogram... :nice:

Actualy,we would have been ruing the same set-up (except I would still be carbed),because originaly I was gonna run these heads on my old 357W shortblock,so I know how your sould run from what I was expecting.

:nice: !

Most dumb people think it a 302,so keep it quite and you will still have a sleeper.. .

Hot damn,that will be awsome.
My motor just cleared a 2.5" cowl hood,but I run a Victor Jr.and had a BG Speed Demon w/ a 14" air cleaner on Energy Suspenson polymounts on a D&D k-member.
You might want to look into solid mounts,as my old motor actualy teared into the poly mounts.

Excuse the mess.
This was when we were first putting it in.It now has most cables/wires remover, manual brakes, and a Flaming River shaft.

I would say a good 8 hours...4 a side. I will be filling everything with ALL-METAL. Then sand it all and paint it. The outer fenders will get a type undercoating. Then it will be time to paint the whole car........JET BLACK and there will be NO BADGES. I am pretty sure I am going with Cobra R Gun Metal rims..9 up front and 10.5 in the rear?
