Cam Swap Question

if i'm swapping out my cam for a hotter one, what else do i need to replace? i'm getting new valve springs. do i need rockers? will i gain HP with new rockers? will new rockers/springs affect emissions?

Unless the rockers have a different lift ratio as in 1.5 vs. 1.6 etc. and if you go from stamped rocker to a roller rocker there should be no power difference. Also wont affect emissions unless the ratio is different then the higher lift may affect emmisions by letting more air/fuel enter cylinders. Tho I dont hav any hard data to say what would happen.

You can reuse the FOLLOWERS(rockers in an ohc head). THere are replacement followers out there but they're very exspensive.The springs won't affect emissions but the cams obviously will.

i'm using a stage 1 comp cams cam wich, i'm told by the guy from comp, will make about 20 hp and 25-35ftlbs of torque and should still be smog safe because it doesn't mess with the duration. springs are recommended with it but i'm not sure what else i'll need. it looks like replacing/impriving anything else will be pretty expensive.
