I have heard some people say to advance the cam timing when you put in a new cam or timing components. What is the resone for advancing the cam timing at the chain???
You can advance the cam or retard the cam to slightly change the operating range of where the power/tq come in. You can also adjust it to make the timing events correct if is is off when the cam is degreed.
