i think i might be bringing up an old old thread..but i guess thats what the search is for.. to keep going with it tho..hopefully csledd or somebody gets in here who knows.. how well do blower cams respond to a n/a car? it would be temporary. if anybody read my thread down below which nobody is answering, you get where im comin from. also.. i dont see stage 1 blower cams out there, so are they good with all applications, or do i need to call and ask for em?

If your gonna go blown, get the blower cams now. you wont see the full 35 gain from the N/A cams now.. but it will more than pay off when the FI is added. seen reports of 70hp gained when adding cams to a FI engine.

usually you only see probably about a 3-10 rwhp loss using blower cams in a NA car. But it's still definately worth it once you get the blower so go with blower cams if you plan to get a blower

VT stg 1 cams seem to work well in low boost applications. Reason being is that the valve over lap isnt high enough to let much if any boost to egt out at say 8-10PSI. You up it to 20, then yea it will let out ALOT.

One guy made 441RWHP with these cams, A/F was off the chart rich (-10/1 AF) and only 12*s of timing. Sure they probably dont work as well as blower cams (they may, but I just dont know), but if you have the cams already, dont be afraid to boost it.

thanks for the replies.. just the people i was hopeing would respond.. but do u guys know of anywhere you can get stage 1 or equiv. to (like 262's).. but blower cams. i can only find stage 2 blower cams out there and if the springs gotta get changed i wolnt be doing the install and then i probably wolnt do cams. not worth it imo cause install would be like 600-1000 and with the cams and springs, thats half the $ of a blower.
