Never thought it would be so much trouble to track one down? Seems most of my searches turn up with generic, entry level stuff that carry some decent stuff, but skimp out on others?

I can find part number for entire kits, but they don't give you a delailed breakdown of what gaskets are contained in the kit? I don't want them damn fiber print-o-seal gaskets, nore do I want them to cheap out anyplace else too?

I've used Felpro stuff over the years, but I'm trying to find a decent kit that incorporates the steel core intake gaskets and GT40 intake into the mix. I'd ideally like to run a Victor Reinz gasket kit as I've never had anything but great luck with thier stuff, but do you think I can find anyone that sells their stuff anymore?

Brian,

Don't know if this helps but you might want to give Woody a call. He knows his stuff and builds some outrageous engines and is a great guy. If anyone knows about a complete kit it's him.

Yeah, maybe I'll give him a shot. I have an idea of the specific components I want, I'm justy not aware of anyone who has put them together in a complete kit. Even some of the so called "premium" kits I've seen are still using cork intake gaskets and junk printoseals.

Yeah, I am building a 5.0 right now, and had the same issue.
We got the best kit I could find, and still had to buy a 1 pc oil pan gasket, upper to lower gasket, decent valve cover gaskets, and decent intake to head gaskets. Other than those omissions (or less than desireable gaskets), the rest was top notch. The high dollar parts are the head gaskets, so I just picked the kit with the best head gaskets. The header gaskets were good too, so I let it go at that and bought the other stuff on the side. Sux..

Unfortunately, I don't think there is a really good kit out there that really covers all the bases, Brian. Believe me, I've looked. I'd just get the stuff you want a-la-carte and piece it together.

i pieced every gasket on my motor. i was able to get the gaskets i wanted for where i wanted.

with kits your stuck with a head gasket thickness you may not want. and i didnt want a felpro HG after i did some reading up on them they ran a 4 piece fire ring that can shift around. i ran a rol gasket which had the same .029" compressed thickeness but runs a 1 piece fire ring. rol gaskets were 22 bucks for the pair. the felpros i believe would have been near 80 bucks
