Can i run my pcv to open air?

Alright here's the deal, i just got done my motor swap.(gt40p's f-cam cobra intake) the car runs great.... i left my pcv in with a tube just running out and down to the ground so the junk will go out down there and not into the intake. we all know that the black sludge is not cool for the intak. I do still have the tube going from the valve cover to the throttle body. So is it ok to run the pcv out to the atmosphere and not to the intake? am i eventually going to cause a problem? the motor has 200 miles on it so i would like to not blow out seals and what not by causeing pressure in the crank case. all opinions are welcome! :nice:

It's OK as long as you plugged the vacuum line from the upper manifold. Before cars had PVC's, they used to vent the crankcase to the open air.
