Can I use SN95 FRONT control arms when I'm doing my 5 lug swap ??

I'm in the process of doing the 5-lug swap on my '91 notch. I got all the parts from a '94 GT. I got the control arms as well...can I use these on my fox ?

I'm pretty sure all control arms are identical up to 1998.

I've heard that the 94 and new models have a wider track, so thats why I was asking

i have 17x9 front and 17x10.5 rear rims on my 91 coupe. The front has a upr cradle and control arms. The front spindles are off a 96 v6. The spindles are all you have to have, but i think they are wider. My coil overs are wound down too far so it almost sits on the tires.The rear axle housing in the 94-present stangs is 1.5in. (3/4 per side) wider than the 4 lug axle housings, although i think that is all in the disc brake bracketry. My housing is out of a 98 gt conv. My back tires barely stick out of the wheel wells about a half inch when i stand on the rear bumper, but it may be from the 10.5 wide rims.

I'm going with bullits (17x8) so I dont think mine will stick out like yours does...

the spindles on 96+ are wider.

the rear axles are .75 inch wider on each side, the actual axles are wider.

My rear was built by moser with 33 spline axles and spool, but obviously if the axle housing is wider then the axles will also be.

I remeber doing research a while ago on this. for the axles, you can use two left side ranger axles (Year?) or you can go aftermarket, moser and superior both make high quality 5 lug axles that are fox lenth. you can use ranger drum brakes, or go to NorthRaceCars.com for a bracket to fit calipers.
now, for the front, i was told to upgrade to 94-95 a-arms (get them cheap from v-6's) then use the spindles and such.. you can reuse your fox struts. FRPP offers a fox body upgrade a-arm which s basically a 94-95 a-arm... you can also use the steeda balljoint with this combo

Front control arms are a bit different i know that.. but the rear control arms themselves should be identical up until 1998. The axles are wider by 0.75" each side i believe.. so you will have to run different offset wheels in the back to ensure no rubbing.

Yeah guys.. I already have all the parts for the swap...axles, drums.. and a whole '94 GT front brake setup including the control arms.

It just seemed to me that the '94 front arms might be a better choice over the my stock fox arms, but I wasnt sure if they were a bolt on, or not ?

Bolt on yes, but from my research the track will be wider.. therefor you'd have rubbing issues with wheels that are wider than 8inch or so. Not worth it, i'd stick to fox control arms.

94 and up a-arm's are wider and have a lower spring perch! I know this from getting the wrong one's sent to me!
