Just curious if you can use the '02 MAF housing with the '00 MAF Sensor. This isn't for my car - it's for a 2000 GT.

I am aware the MAF and IAT sensor became integrated into the same sensor in 2002. I also heard from someone that the housing might be different - specifically where the sensor drops into the tubing (the post.)

Jackie - My brother has his stock MAF sensor and a stock MAF housing. Only problem is that he cut his stock MAF post and then re-attached it via superglue because it ran poorly with a cut post. The car runs fine now, but he's concerned about the glue failing and having his motor ingest a part of the MAF post. So he's looking for a stock MAF housing to put his sensor back in to have some piece of mind. His car is a 2000 GT. He may have an opportunity to purchase a stock MAF housing from a person who owns a 2002 GT. Just need to know if he can "plug-n-play" his '99 MAF electronics into an 2002 GT MAF housing. Do you know if this is possible?

BTW, Ford only sells the entire MAF assembly including the sensor, and it's around $170.

The only problem you could run into is if there is a size difference in the sampling tubes. Go to www.modulardepot.com and ask randy stinchomb in the ford parts forum.
