whell, ive been wanting to know this for a long time, i know that a longer runner length causes more low end torque, and a shorter less, but more top end, but why. Why does our cars have such long runners where the air has to curve way around then in? it seems to me, why wouldent it just be better with like a bread box type, the air flows right in, like say a carb setup, how come those dont have suck LOOng runners? Aslo, like the LT-1 motor, is basically has NO runners, and the ls-1 has very small ones, and even the new mustangs have nothing like the loong 5.0 runners, why is this, and do we really need it?
