Hey folks, I have a buddy that has a '66 convertible with a 289. He emailed me this morning asking about a relay that he found mounted to the brake pedal assembly. At first I thought that it may have something to do with the brake switch, but the brake switch on these cars are one of those outside pressure types, correct? He says that his other car does not have this (I believe the other car is a coupe). Could it have something to do with the power top? His email is below:
I found a relay mounted on top of the brake pedal assembly. I do not know what it is for and it needs replaced. Two issues: 1. What is it? 2. Where can I find one.
I have it with me and it has a "TS" in a circle. The letters "sol" and next line says "Relay 673"
Any ideas??
Sorry for my ignorance, but I haven't owned a classic Mustang (unfortunately) for some years and I'm a little rusty as to specifics.
Any help you could provide would be appreciated!
