on the firewall passenger side directly below the 2 heater core hoses,and down about 6 inches or so there is a round rubber grommet with a hose sticking out about 1/2 inch, it is dripping antifreeze onto my exhaust...is this something to do with the heater core ?

unfortunately yes it does. that is the drain for the evaporator. sounds like u have a hole in the heater core. You can bypass it for the time being or rip the dash apart to replace it. It really isnt as bad as people say it is, I replaced my evap and heater core in 4 and a half hours. good luck

It is normal to be dripping, it shouldnt be dripping antifreze though. Are you sure its antifreze and not water?

I hate when that happens. I got my heater core done for me for $350 I didn't have time before it got cold to do it myself. I don't think taking a dash out would be all that hard, and all you really have to do is move it out a little bit.

I would absolutely say it is a heatercore if it is spewing antifreese. If it is just water then it is prob ok.

ok thanks a lot guys ...its definitely antifreeze , if i just connect the heater core hoses together and bypass the hc, will the a/c still work this summer?
