Is Proform Chinese? If so, that explains why it happened.

I have Scorpions and I love them. They are very bulky though and will not fit under stock valve covers. You need Fox valve covers for them to work.

Comp also makes very nice products as well.

a while ago in one of the mustangs mags they were explaining why not to use aluminum rockers. i forget which company it is that only makes steel ones.

From the looks of your pic, up by the bolt head appears to have had cracks on both sides....hmmmm, notice the discoloration, like a fracture line...

Damn...that blows..

I see you already ordered new rockers, but Comp Cams makes stainless steel roller rockers that are lighter than aluminum rockers. CAD and computer modeling are wonderful things. :D Stronger AND lighter.

I haven't had much experience with any other cam/valvetrain companies, but I really like the Crane 1.7 rr like Ford put on the Cobras. Crane also has a great customer service line. They've helped me out twice with mine. They fit under my 94 5.0 valve covers also (I was NOT expecting that!!They are pretty beefy). Sorry about the problems dude!!
Check out Crane's website, they have a lot of good tech info there too!!

It really doesn't matter where they are made. What does matter is the origin of the metal. I work in the aerospace industry, and non-US supplied metal is crap.

I also run the Comp Pro Magnum and love them.
