I've got the caliper off my rear pass. side brake, but I can't get the rotor off. Is there any trick to getting it off, because it doesn't seem to be moving?
Yeah I railed it a couple times and it came off. But I messed up the brake pad retaining clips and I can't get new ones till Monday. Oh well, I still need two tires after yesterdays dual tire blow out. But I'll finish sometime Monday night and I'll post some pics. Thanks guys.
Well I quit for the day to let the paint on the calipers dry, but on Monday when the clips come in I'll finish up. Is there any trick to getting pad installed into the calipers? I don't want to bend up any more clips.
But take a look at how much bigger the new rotors are.
And here's how I left it for the day
Not too worried about the overspray cause the springs will be replaced in two weeks.
When you reinstall the rotors be sure to put some antiseize compound around the lip of the rotor that mounts to the car that way in the future you have to whack it to get off. Peace
