Sweet!! Does this mean some track times might be posted soon? Would be interesting to see what that thing can do on the spray.

I wish! This just means the slipping clutch would surely show its head on spray. I'd love to spray this b*%#@ in 2nd for once! Man it would be on like Donkey Kong if I could do that!
Maybe I'll get a helmet and try at the track thing w/o spray.

Very few make 315/30/18s. Plenty of 17s out there but not 18s.

Hey Greg... I ran a 14.40 tonight!!! The guys on the Ford Racing Team adjusted my timing and got me .6 seconds! Thats awesome. I guess I was set at 8 degrees. They reset me to about 12 and what a difference that made. They wanted to put me up to 14 degrees but I had already dialed in so they didn't want to mess with my time too much. Wouldn't have mattered as I red lighted my first elimination round.. lol... It was a lot of fun though. Glad to know I'm not as slow as I thought I was. Thanks guys (Ford Racing Team).

Would like to see you run at the races on next Friday the 24th. Then they are racing again that saturday at Bremerton. But anyways, if you guys have nothing to do, come out to the mall tomorrow (South Hill Mall), we are hosting a Mustang car show starting at 8am...

I think there are better times coming your way soon. Check that gear ratio and let us know what you have.

The next race is two weeks, but you are right: It's the last Car Club at PR.

They'll be a big improvement over street tires, but consider buying a couple 15 inch wheels in the same style as your other 4 and getting Miicky Thompson DR's for them. That would be the optimum setup.

Funny how a few degrees can turn things around. Good to hear. Now the bugs bitten you for sure! Its all down hill from here! Awsome! We need to crack that beast open!
Seen plenty run 18 and 17 with DRs no problem. You end up with a 26-27" tall tire.

The original owner says they are definately 3.73 gears. But I was schooled on how to check them to see what they are for real. So when I get the chance to put it in the air I'll take a look.

Just checked it using a gear ratio calculator online and it says I have about 3.73 gears with 24.5" tire diameter, 4950 RPM and at 96.44 MPH.

As I was racing yesterday I was told to watch that and could check it against a calculator and it agrees with a 3.73. So what does that mean to me now? Am I still running too slow with those gears? Should I bump my timing to 14 degrees?

Stock tires are 26 inches tall so you'll need to recompute. Trust but verify regarding the gears. I cannot remember what tires you have but I am sure I would have noticed a 24 inch tall tire. You cannot trust the accuracy of a factory tach. Even a cheap ($50.) aftermarket tach will be an improvement over the factory one.

Considering the stock AOD soaks up allot you're pretty much where you should be now. The timing adjustment was key in that thanks to the fellas at the track.

Wasn't me in Puyallup. I wanted to go but wanted too long.

Hey, I think I either have a water pump problem or a thermostat issue. It doesn't seem to be pumping any water through the upper hose. And while I was checking that out I found that I have a big exhaust leak coming from somewhere cause after a few minutes checking out the pump pressure, I almost killed myself with all the fumes. Anyways, is there some way to tell which it is without buying new stuff first?
