Capri hood on '79-82 nose? 4 eye guys chime in

I can get this really nice HO Fibertrends Capri cowl hood for really cheap...but i'm not sure how it's going to mate to the '79 nose i have on my car. I know pretty much all there is to know about Mustang nose/hood combos but with a Capri hood i'm not sure about how the edge of the hood is going t work with the Mustang....has anyone actually done this?

if im not mistaken, capri hoods come down a little in the front and aren't straight like your hood.

Yeah i thought about that....but also the Pacecar "cowl" comes out and downish a bit. I did realise though that the Capri hoods are 2-3 inches longer than Mustang hoods because the noses extend a little further out instead of slanting down like a Mustang nose does...so it won't work. Oh well.

I have a 79 Capri and an 82 Mustang, and from observations, I don't thing the hoods would look decent interchanged. I am sure they will bolt on and latch, but the bumper covers are quite different.

Capri hood is about 2" longer than the Mustang. I seen a 79 mustang hood on E-bay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/e...m=250035799201&ih=015&sspagename=STRK:MESE:IT

It's a 5" lift off
