Car about to be paid off, so whats going to break.

Well the car will be paid off at the end of this month finally and well I was waiting for something to go south on me and well its happening. It actually started yesterday the clutch is going south. A lil slipping here and there and now the T.O.B. is making the screeching every once and a while. Its ok I guess I should have figured that something would have gone south on me and well im glad its something that is easily fixable. The SPEC was a good one but this time I'm gonna get a stage 2 and prolly a flywheel unless I do decide to get a 347 short block.

I did the same thing for about 9 months. Paid off my 02 then picked up the 95.

Just a thought...Keep making your car payment............Just make it to yourself, and put it in the bank for future mods, or whatever you might want!

I've had mine paid off for 5 years now. What's gone wrong since.........

alternator
battery
starter
another battery
oil pan gasket
rear main seal
clutch
throw out bearing
rear end bearings and other small stuff
all four cats literally broke apart and clogged up within a couple days
radiator hose leaked
passenger window motor needed repair

Other than that............I've been putting my car payment into a car fund to pay for mods and my wife's new Jeep. Not a single mod was done to my car until I had paid it off. Sure is a lot more fun now.

Sounds like a good idea making an account for future mods cause I really want a H/C/I 347 next summer. Plus I have another carfor a DD and its paid off I just have to get it up and running again.
