It could just be me, but my car seems a bit sluggish in normal driving conditions. It just kind of feels like it doesn't really want to go until I get into the throttle a good bit. It doesn't miss or anything like that and once I hit full throttle she seems to run fine. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar to this. Thanks.

in additon to advice above:run some seafoam through the brake booster line.Seafoam can be purchased at parts store for 5-6 bucks.Put half the bottle in a cup and let the vac line suck it up.
Might want someone to help you keep the car running

Might want to test resistance on your ECT and IAT. Maybe they're reading wrong causing the puter to pull timing out. You could also run locked out timing and see how the car feels that way.

Ditto the heat idea. When I get the motor nice and hot (200*F) and ambient temps are 110* and I've been driving a bit (everything is heat saturated), mine's a dog unless I wind it out a bit too.

I'm going to play with my IAT because I think the CAI (chrome) is heating things up a bit (per resistance readings I took when I got home after a drive).

Good luck.

When I cleaned out my PIP, it helped out a lot. I also got new wires. I did the IAT as well but it didn't do much.

I know the MAF, ECT, PIP and IAT are good. They have all either been recently replaced or cleaned. Cleaning the TPS would be a good idea though, since I have never done this. I will do that tomorrow. Seafoam isn't a bad idea either but I'm not convinced that would fix the problem. Heat always affects performance but I don't think that is the culprit either. Especially since I have a Fluidyne, my fan is on all the time, and a cooler t-stat as well. The intake air could be hot but I don't think it would affect it this much. I have a cold air setup which would help me out a little here as well.

If this helps at all, I don't know if it is related, I have a bit of bogging feeling right when I push or let off the gas. It doesn't feel like the engine is missing or stumbling though. It happens when I let off the gas quick or when I get on it slow. It just kind of a little jerk or two. I'll try the TPS tomorrow. Thanks for the input. Don't hesitate to throw out other ideas. Thanks.

Justin, I was playing with my IAT today. I was SHOCKED to see what it was reading in only 90* ambient temps. I have a MAC CAI which gets plenty hot. I'm playing with some ideas with that. It takes but 20 seconds to ohm out the thermistor.

Good luck.

I just finished pulling off the IAC and TPS and cleaning both. The IAC is pretty new and with the TPS there isn't all that much to clean. I didn't want to fire it up and wake the neighbors, so I'll have to wait until morning to see if it makes any difference.

I have the MAC CAI too, so I'm sure were in a similar situation. I remember reading that someone on here replaced the IAT sensor with a resistor. What do you think of that idea?
