Fixed the oil leak today and set my timing. It was at 2 so that might explain why it felt so clumsy yesterday. This thing screams. seriously its awesome. Im tryign to take it easy on it but its hard. Thing is, we cant get it to boost past 5 #'s. I take it easy in first and then rev up to like 5500 in second and shift to 3rd and my boost gauge will jump to 5 pounds and then it wont move. What can be doing this? Heres my guesses: Yesterday my idler pulley came loose and ribbed 1 rib of the belt so now it has 7 instead of 8. Theory 2, The discharge tube(from supercharger to throttle body) does not have hose clampps on the TB side cause i ran out, maybe its leaking? Theory 3, im making the right amount of boost, just my guage is leaking somewhere. What else can it be? Car runs perfect now, no surges, doesnt overheat, no CE lights, idles at 700. Any ideas why its not boosting past 5? Its a s-trim with a anderson PP, and the guy said it has the bigger crank pulley and smaller vortech pulley but im not for sure on that.

Fix those problems right away. If your motor and is under boost of course you will have a leak especially where the boost is being produced and it's not clamped tight. If your gauge were leaking it would not give you consistent readings of 5#'s.

i would check on getting a new belt and drive it for a while then tighten it again and for sure get clamps on the discharge tube that could be alot of it , i drove mine around for the first day or so only making 5 lb then we tightened the belt again and it went to 10 ! look out when it does it a whole lot more power !!!!
