My codes are:
117- coolant temp sensor below minimum voltage
122- TPS below minimum voltage
211- profile ignition pickup input failure
212- loss of ignition dianostic moniture input to spark output circuit
332- insufficient egr flow
334- EGr position closed voltage higher than expected.
452- insufficient input from vehicle speed sensor to power control module
461- no text provided

Please help:shrug: :(

Sheesh, that's a list. I would now clear the codes, drive it till the issue pops up, and retrieve codes again.

It is very likely you do have an ignition issue, based upon the PIP and IDM code. The IDM largely uses the PIP as its reference point (the IDM monitors spark advance - kind of a check of the TFI and computer processing of spark advance). If the PIP is haywire, the IDM doesnt know what's going on. It should be noted that a wiring fault can cause both issues and the PIP itself might actually be fine. A new PIP is 30 bucks and can be easy or a pain to install (depending upon how the gear comes on and off and if it aligns itself).

Is it possible that 461 was actually 452? I know on my reader the flashers can be tough to separate.

The EGR flow thing can lead to pinging at part throttle. I would apply 5" of vac to the nipple on the EGR while the car idles - it should stall or nearly stall. Remove the EGR and clean its bore. You can also check the calibration of the EVR - sometimes the sensor goes south, or more likely the EGR seat is worn, so its throwing off the baseline reading.

You can check your TPS reading KOEO and see what it is - look for ~0.8-1.1 volts. If outside that, the puter can have issues zeroing it out.

That's the biggies - like I said, I'd clear the KAM, drive and retest.

Good luck.

I am going to clear it and try again as far as the ignition codes I am going to take out my distributer and get another one. My distibutor went out not to long ago and I got a remanufactored one from autozone so I will try that and then go from there.

Good call. FWIW, with many reman'd dizzy's, if the PIP tests good when they take the core in, they dont replace it.

A tell tale of a replaced PIP is that there will be a new hole for the roll pin at the gear. The reman places often think it cheaper to drill a new hole than trying to line things back up.

Good luck.

yeah I think he read the codes wrong, with the 461 being there. If you truly get a 461 code, wouldn't that point to a PCM problem???

I would reset the computer, and start the car. Let it run for a bit at idle speed. EGR is inop at idle, so maybe the cel will come on and point you to the other problems.

You don't need to solve 5 different problems. You need to choose one and tackle it. Then move on to the rest.
