Car making strange noise

I have a 95 GT convertible 5 speed that I just bought used. I have a few problems with power and stuff but this thread is about a noise it make when I drive. When I get to about 80kms or I think about 50mph it get this groan...groan....groan and when I go faster or slower than that is still there but alot less than a 50mph. I does it in diff. gears (3,4 and 5th) all the worst at 50. So I assume its not the tranny. I also put the clutch in at 50 and that doesn't affect it at all. I think it sound like it is from the front...any ideas?

Have the wheels and tires been balanced lately? Had the same problem on my old Durango.

I will get them checked out....I thought it might be wheel bearings. But I never thought of the tires...thanks I will check that out.
