Good luck. You might get that chance. It will take me a little bit to get used to the car again, especially with the cage in it. It's going to be a sweet ride. I'll post some pictures as soon as I get a chance.

I'll post some pics of the motor tonight. The cage is still being reworked because of my height. Sometimes I hate being 6'4".

Here's some pictures of the engine bay. As soon as the cage is complete I'll post some pictures.

Went down to the shop yesterday and was able to drive it around. All I have to say is wow. This thing really moves, and the cage looks awesome, especially with the top down. The shop is going to keep the car a few more days so that they can clean the car and get rid of any overspray from the painting of the cage. Unfortunately I forgot my camera.

More updates to come.

Well, I made it out racing on Friday at Lebanon Valley (500 Ft above Sea Level). It was about 70 degrees all day and the track was nice and sticky. Here are the results:

Uncorrected
E.T./MPH
1) 13.36/105.05 Shift light wasn't working
2) 13.20/103.35
3) 13.151/103.54
4) 12.872/104.8 Driven by a buddy of mine
5) 13.214/103.79 Shatted LCA bushing during launch and had to left off

Corrected to Sea Level
1) 13.23/106.09
2) 13.05/104.5
3) 13.0/104.69
4) 12.71/106.12
5) 13.03/105.26

The last run was a little hairy. I launched at 6K RPM and there was a loud bang. By mid track the rear end was real loose and swaying all over the place. Looks like I'll have to get some serious Drag Race Lower Control Arms. No more Poly bushings. Just can't take the abuse I give them. This happened last year as well.

I have some weight cutting that I will be working on this season. Hopefully I'll get up and running soon.

He can definitely drive alright. He has a twin turbo Z28 and when the car doesn't have it's gremlins he can drive it to a 10.6 or faster in the 1/4 mile. He's was giving me tips during the day, that's why my times were dropping from run to run. The last run I used his launching technique and broke the car. I believe that if I didn't break the car and was able to be on it all the way I would have had a 12.9 run. Only time will tell.
