alright, if u read a few weeks ago you seen my car was on the fritz, its a 00 v6 procharged...it crapped out on me a few weeks back, it start studdering when driving then it just died, i replaced the fuel filter, pcv valve, and some o2 sensors as well as the plugs, nothing..but then i put other gas in it and it worked, and for the past few weeks its been fine, but today i was driving in 4th and it stalled a lil bit then i shifted into neutral and coasted and when i looked down at the tach it was on off...whats the deal this time? any suggestions? thanx

alright..i pulled two plugs on the driver side off, and they both had oil on them..thats not good...its 1 in the morning so i didnt get to pull them all, but i dont know off hand what cylinders they are, but if ur looking under the hood its the first two on the driver side, tomorrow ill yank the rest and look, its a blown valve seal, or hole in my piston, piston rings shot..i donno, help?

no i havent, but i found the problem, my intake piping came off the of throttle body, the clamp loosened and it was sucking in to much air, tightened it up, started it, gased it, burned all the oil out, cars fine now...but no i havent, i have the tester to do it and someone who knows how, i jsut havent had the compression tested yet

Well, I'm glad your fix was relatively painless. :nice: Now lets keep her on the road for awhile. :D

lol, thanx, i hope she stays on the road for awhile, its getting down to me actually thinking bout selling the blower and everything off of it, it seems to be nothing but a problem, but yea so far shes doing good

ehh, sometimes it seems that way and so far I've been super lucky. When we got done with the install, we started her up before the chip went in (i got impatient) and not 3 seconds after it started up smoke started bellowing out of the engine. Scared the dog crap out of me, then my father and I proceeded to run out of the garage b/c neither one of us could breath from the smoke. At first I assumed it was where we snipped the egr tube off that it got so hot it was smoking either my plug wires or some other hose or tube or the like. I figured this was merely a sign of things to come and I momentarily considered taking the mofo off right there. Then, after doing some looking we realized it was nothing more than the refrigerant that we had to purge from the lines that had sprayed all over the engine. Apparently it had gotten down near the headers and was burning off real quick. Point is, like your TB hose thing, problems are gonna come up, its inevitable. The trick is to not write off a project or a certain setup or what have you just b/c of a couple of mishaps. It'll work out for ya...and for now you have Mr. Murphy to thank for all the trouble thus far. :D
