Went to the track last night with 2 gallons of 93 octane and 1.2 gallons of race fuel mixed in my tank....I bought the race fuel at the track.Every single time I put race fuel in my car it pops very loud at high rpms out the tail pipe and misses at high rpm....my 1/8 mile time drops over ten mph...1/4 mile is way off....about 12-14 mph. I wasnt sure if this was the real problem before, so i ran the car the first time with only 93 octane, car ran great, then i put in 116 octane and car runs like ****. here is my engine combo
306 Afr heads,30lb injectors, FMU,vortech v1 14 psi boost, trickflow intake.car makes 550 rwhp
Any ideas? Im thinking it has to do with my FMU pumping the fuel pressure sky high, and with fuel that burns slower, its not burning off. I have never heard of anybody else having this problem. Thanks
