Car stalled twice under semi hard braking

This happened to me once about a year ago. I was coming to a stop in traffic (from probably 35-40 mph), and after I stopped, the car died. The radio was still playing, headlights were still on, it's just that the engine died silently, and I didn't feel it jerk or anything.

I thought it might have been my battery because I was having a corrosion problem at the time.

Freakin' wierd...

NEVER had a problem with this until today. I hit the brakes leaving the house and it stalled. Hmmm...thought it was stange since I had just posted in this thread. So I get over to the gym where my sons basketball camp is, hit the brakes and bam...does it again. Odd...didn't happen again on the way home. So lets analyze this for a bit.

Today I changed out my tranny fluid...Stalled immeditely after. I don't see how that would have anything to do with this problem. Coincidental?

After the fluid change I had knocked my Speedcal wire loose so the speedo wasn't working. Fixed it at the gym and didn't have the problem coming home. Don't know if that had anything to do with it either.

Pulled out the code reader and have a P1443...but I've been getting this for a few weeks now intermittantly. Could the shut down be an eventual result of the code or independent of this particular problem? Enquireing minds want to know.
