My 96 GT keeps stalling everytime I push the clutch in when I go to downshift. This happens at any speed. Does anyone have any ideas why this would be happening? I have the Speed Cal and thought this might be the problem.
have you checked your idle air speed controll valve. i had that same problem on my 90 gt. would idle fine , but it couldn't catch the engine before it stalled when it came down from R's that fast, or also check the readings on the T.P.S. and see if its in the correct readings on a multimeter.

This problem most def has absolutely nothing to do w/ a Speedcal. It's possible that if you've recently done an intake mod you may need to check all your vacuum hoses.

its not bull****. i was saying that it wouldn't let the air by pass the throttle body to let the car idle , that valve i was talking about i located rither there by the throttle body , thats what keeps your car idleing. TRUST ME, i use to work on mustangs before i joined the air force
Thanks for the help. Only reason why I thought the Speed Cal was the cause was this began happening right after I got it. I have been having slight problems with surging idle when I slowed down for a couple months. I guess I should have seen the signs. I cleaned it when I got the car because it had trouble starting. When I first had problems with the stalling I noticed the windows would fog after the car stalled. Any ideas about this?
