Car will not crank, 4 banger swap

Hey BK man last night I read your story from hitting the tralor to now I feel for you man bum luck! Your doing a great job though!!!

I dont know if anyone answered you yet but the fuel pump relay on your car is under the driver seat. Hope you figure it out.

FYI I did a 4cyl swap on a 91 and didnt run into any probs like this so if I had to guess you might have missed something. Good Luck man. :nice:
 
At least you got the fuel pump to come on. The sensors by the MAF are A/C sensors? Sorry man, I thought they were for the fuel pump, because 2 years ago when I did mine, somebody told me that is what they were....plus the 89 Mustang harness I had didn't have those there. Come to think of it there is one under the drivers seat.

Somebody mentioned the ignition switch. BK.....did you use the column from your V8 notch? If not....try to switch the igintion switch from that...because you know it was good. How about the starter?? Are the connections good? I know you jumped it if I remember correctly.

Also.....biggest most important thing....the selenoid on the firewall. Did you hook up the wires correctly and is it grounded good on the frame rail??? When I did my 5.0L swap, I totally forgot to write down what went where. Luckly I had a spare one with the wires cut, but still handing on it. That is the only reason I got it back together. One stud carries most of the wires, while the other one carries like one.

One more thing....Does it make ANY noise when you turn the key? Does it click? Or does it just do nothing??

it does nothing. no sound. and i used the 4 banger column. the switch was working fine though when it was still a 4 banger. and yea i can jump it and it starts. i bought a new solenoid but that didnt fix anything, im gonna swap ignition switches today.

I didn't see the video of it running yet. I just saw the link today...because I mostly lurk and post in 5.0L Talk.

Plus....I don't have speakers on this work computer. I will watch it tonight after class and I'll see what that cam sounds like...can't wait.
